About Ace Hardware
The business was founded in Chicago back in 1924 by business partners Richard Hesse, E. Gunnard Lindquist, Frank Burke, Oscar Fisher, and William Stauber. Each of these opened their own store under the Ace banner, later incorporating Ace Stores Inc., as their supplier. By 1949 they were already making millions in yearly revenue.
Today the business operates as supplier that exclusively supplies each retail store. The owners of each store are independent of the main company, but agree to adopt similar branding, like the franchise model. Each store owner also owns shares in the main company.
Today there are also stores in Canada, Indonesia, Israel, and the Philippines.
The online store was launched back in 1996 and is now one of the primary generators of sales. Approximately 86,000 people are employed throughout their stores and supply chain.
Ace Hardware sells

Credit cards, including Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover Card are all accepted as forms of payment, and PayPal is also an option.

Shipping Options
Ace Hardware currently only cater to the US states and territories. For home delivery shipping costs are dependent on the size and value of your order, though this will be fully calculated before the checkout process is complete. Standard Ground can take up to 7 days, 2nd Day takes between 2 and 3 business days, and Next Day takes between 1 to 2 business days.
Alaska, Hawaii, APO/FPO or US Territory addresses will takes slightly longer.

Return Policy
You can return any items that are not satisfactory within 30 days for store credit. While customers are encouraged to return items to a local Ace Hardware store, this is not always possible. If you find that you cannot return the items to a store, contact the customer service team on 1-866-290-5334 and they will give you further instructions.
