Category Sales and Clearance Discounts
It was in June of 2000, that Nick Roberson and Quentin Griffiths founded the company which stands for “AsSeenOnScreen” - a reference to its celebrity inspired styles. Their original goal was to sell only items that the public had seen celebrities wear, but they soon broadened the inventory. By 2001 it was already accepted in to the Alternative Investment Market (AIM) on the London Stock Exchange and is now a publicly traded company (listed as ASC).
The company has since grown to earn the distinction of being the UK's biggest independent online fashion retailer and is renowned for its wide selection and affordable pricing options. They greatly expanded their international reach by opening offices and facilities in France, Germany and the United States in 2010, and Sydney, Australia in 2012. In 2014 they sponsored the McLaren Formula One team.
As well as their main online store ASOS also operate a "marketplace" where they promote new brands and vintage boutiques that normally don't get much exposure. A bit like the Amazon Marketplace they simply take a cut from the seller rather than stocking and selling the items themselves.
Today the company boasts over 4,000 employees, with Brian McBride serving as Chairman and Drew Maikol Marraco Suárez as CEO. The company makes over £900 million in yearly revenue.
ASOS have a wide variety of fashion clothing for both men and women in their 20s, shipping orders worldwide (simply find you country by clicking the dropdown menu at the top of the page, which will update the pricing and shipping options accordingly).
