Raise is an online platform that allows users to buy and sell gift cards that have already been purchased. The concept lets users with unwanted gift cards turn them in to cash, while buyers can purchase these at a discount price. The company takes a small cut of every sale to make a profit.

Raise was founded in 2011 by George Bousis who was inspired by a loyalty program that was used by his family's business. He was joined by Bradley Wasz and the two formulated the idea to allow an efficient and safe system for buying and selling gift cards.

About Raise

The privately held company began under the name CouponTrade and was launched as an iPhone app out of Bousis' apartment. It was a simply a basic coupon provider at that time, but eventually they opened the Raise marketplace.

The concept was an immediate hit, and in just a few years the company now employs hundreds of people and operates out of a 50,000 square foot office, in Chicago, Illinois.

Raise.com can be accessed on the web or through the gambit of mobile apps.

Raise Sells

The Raise marketplace supports the buying and selling of gift cards from hundreds of online and offline stores. Popular brands include Subway, Google Play, Walmart, Macy's, Starbucks, Whole Foods, Best Buy, iTunes, Walgreens, and Toys R Us.

Finding what you want couldn't be easier. You can refine the listing via Physical gift cards (which will be mailed to you) and Electronic gift cards (the codes and info will be emailed to you).
